Other Policies

Naturally, we are in business to succeed by over-delivering on customer expectations. We seek to do that by:
  • listening carefully to client requests and instructions, clarifying where we are uncertain of intentions;
  • delivering in a timely manner and within promised time frames, except where client information and/or instructions change;
  • seeking always to give great value through the products and the services we provide;
  • relying on the goodwill and report of clients and customers to generate new business.
Please read the 'Disclaimer' and 'Privacy' policies on this page. We are always pleased to field your enquiries about these matters.

Privacy

Value Websites Limited holds the privacy and security of our clients and site visitors in the highest regard. The following information explains the type of information gathered by Value Websites and how that information is used.

What's collected and what's not?

You can visit our site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information. While IP addresses (the Internet address of a computer) are logged to track a user's session, the user remains anonymous. Tracking IP addresses gives us an idea of the areas on our site users are visiting and how long they spend there. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. Again, this means that a user's session is tracked, but the user is anonymous. The user's browser also lets us know the type of computer and operating system being used.

E-mail addresses are gathered only from those who have made an enquiry, purchased products from us and/or signed up to be on one or more of our mailing lists.

How is your e-mail information used?

E-mail addresses are used to send you information that you requested or to confirm orders only.

We NEVER sell, rent, or loan our e-mail lists to anyone. Period!

How do I remove my name from mailing lists to which I previously subscribed?

Just follow the simple removal directions always provided at the bottom of e-mails sent to our lists.

An unsubscribe link will not be included in personal emails, however you are always at liberty to reply with a, "remove my information" request in an email subject line. We will promptly honour such requests.

Is supplied credit card information retained?

No, we never see it, other than your basic contact information. We use an independent secure payment processor to receive payments on our behalf. Please refer to PayPal's Privacy Policy.

What about addresses, phone and fax numbers?

We request these on forms in order to contact you about your enquiry, web project or order. However, this information is entered into our business customer database only. We NEVER sell, rent, or loan our list of customer contacts, nor any other information about customers.

What to do if you consider your privacy has been breached by Value Websites?

In the first instance we would encourage you to contact us. If we have made a mistake or been less than careful with regard to your information, expect an appropriate apology and any other consideration agreed by you and us.

If, after the above course of action, you want to take the matter further you might consider contacting the internet trading section of the NZ Ministry of Consumer Affairs, or do an internet search on keywords like: 'consumer complaint', 'internet privacy', etc.
