Website eValuations

Website ValuationsGoogle claims an amazing 81.6 million pages for the search term, 'how much is my web site worth'. If this is the question you're asking, you're not alone!  How much will you get for selling your web business? Valuing a website is a tricky business. Site prices aren't set in stone; they vary based on the buyer, market sentiment, how the sale is presented, and more. There's no universal formula and there are no comprehensive and accepted standards for valuing sites  but we can make an informed guess.

Value Websites undertakes website valuations - to help establish realistic prices for website sales or for asset value purposes. We also evaluate websites to certify that they have been built according to specification, or to establish the scope of a website for planning, development or other purposes.

How much will you get for selling your website or web business?

There is need to be wary of the many free website valuation tools that populate the web. Some of the best of these will give you a ball park figure that might be substantiated by a more thorough analysis. However, many of these freebies will give wide variations in price. We advise caution in using these tools if they are the only basis you use to value wyour website, especially if you are serious about negotiating a website sale.

Valuing a website is a tricky business. Website prices aren’t set in stone; they vary based on buyer need and perceptions, market sentiment, how the sale is presented, how much credible supportying evidence is provided and more. There’s no universal formula and there are no comprehensive and commonly accepted standards for valuing sites—but we can make an educated and informed valuation by assessing a number of parameters. We can also suggest ways you might maximise potential buyer interest and willingness to purchase.

Before obtaining an expensive full-blown website valuation, it is important to acsertain a 'ball-park' figure for the value of your website. If this initial valuation establishes that your website has considerable value - say over $10,000, it may well be worthwhile getting a full website valuation report. This will help maximise the purchase price you ultimately get for the sale of your website or web business.

Value Websites as your professional website valuers will always recommend that you follow a two stage process.

Step 2 - Price $250-500+GST Depending on Website/Web Business

On the basis of the analysis in (Step 1) you may choose for a fuller valuation investigation to be undertaken by us. This will produce a detailed valuation report which, among other matters, would detail how value might be added to the websites and, in the event of selling the website, what factors might influence a potential purchaser to settle for a higher price.

This report might be made available to bona fide potential buyers and become a prime marketing tool in negotiating the sale.

The report will be dependent on you providing accurate and true statistical, financial and other information.

The fee range above is additional to the fee indicated for Step 1. The analysis in Step 1 will constitute part of the Step 2 process.

Evaluations

We are available to assess and certify a website as part of an evaluation exercise.

  • Is there someone who could do a thorough edit of my website?

Value Websites, while website developers and designers ourselves, are available to independently and objectively assess your website, evaluating your options and reporting on what is there.
